Botrosecco Maremma toscana igt Mortelle Antinori 2017

botrosecco igt red wine maremma toscana le mortelle antinori 2017. Alcohol content 14% vol. Made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Cabernet Franc grapes. After fermentation in stainless steel vats, the wine stays for 12 months in barrique and for a few months in bottle. Deep,  concentrated ruby red colour. On the nose it is very interesting and intense, with hints of small ripe red berry fruits, sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon), aromatic herbs, Mediterranean scrub and light vegetal aroma. In the mouth the wine is very pleasant, intense and velvety, with juicy and smooth tannins, a well-preserved acidity which gives longevity to the wine and the typical saltiness of the area. The finish is fruity, long and satisfying. A generous wine, but also a bit crowd-pleasing.
Pair: pappardelle with game sauce, fillet with green pepper, fairly mature cheeses.
